Happy birthday to me

So today I'm older.

Last night, Sarah gave me a gift, and it was Call of Duty 3 for the PS3. I said "but I have a PS2, this unfortunately won't work on it. Then she brought out the other box...

...a PlayStation 3, the deluxe one with the 60Gb drive and WiFi. I guess Sony is one of her clients, so she got it at regular price, no waiting out in the snow or insane bidding wars on eBay.

My first impression (on a SD (shit definition) TV) is that it's pretty incredible. The depth of frame they can do in cut scenes and even regular play is pretty incredible. They really got their shit together on the whole player saves thing, as you have a profile when you boot the system, and every game uses it.

So anyway, if you don't hear from me for a month, this is why.

You look rather stunned in the photo, but not the good, "Oh, hey! A PlayStation!" kind of stunned.
